Mark Andrew Ellmer passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2026, at the age of 34, leaving behind a heartbroken family, devoted friends, and a community that will forever remember his vibrant personality, artistic spirit, and deep love for those closest to him. His sudden passing has created an immeasurable loss for everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A resident of Philadelphia, Mark was known for his authenticity and unmistakable personality. Friends describe him as witty, creative, caring, and someone who brought energy and laughter wherever he went. He had a unique ability to make people feel comfortable and understood, never pretending to be anyone other than himself. Those qualities made him unforgettable to the many people whose lives he touched over the years.
Mark was a talented tattoo artist whose creativity became his passion and profession. Through his work, he created deeply personal and meaningful pieces of art that will remain with his clients and loved ones forever. His tattoos were more than artwork—they were expressions of connection, storytelling, and emotion. Many admired not only his artistic skill but also the patience and sincerity he brought to every design and every person who sat in his chair.

Mark is survived by his beloved son, Noah Timothy Ellmer; his partner, Jackie Hasse; his parents, Michael and Karen Ellmer; his grandmother, Rose Kadelock; his siblings, Karen Gorski and her husband Christopher, and Stephanie Montesino and her husband Esrom; as well as his nieces and nephew, Karolina, Penelope, Summer, and Lincoln. He also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends who will continue to carry his memory with them.
As loved ones grieve this heartbreaking loss, they are also remembering the joy, creativity, and authenticity Mark brought into their lives. His humor, artistic spirit, and unwavering love for his family will not be forgotten.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Parish. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
