The Prince George, British Columbia community is grieving the unexpected passing of 22-year-old Cole Jackson Kennedy on May 12, 2026. His death has left his family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken as they remember a young man known for his humor, personality, and the positive impact he had on those around him.
Born on October 13, 2003, Cole is survived by his parents, Steve Kennedy and Cora-Lee (Bob) Cutway; his sister, Kayleigh Kennedy; his grandparents, Moira Kennedy, Neil and Anne Bilodeau, Lorraine Bilodeau, and Dave Laboucane; as well as many extended family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Norman Kennedy.
Those who knew Cole remember him as lively and entertaining, with a sharp, sarcastic sense of humor and a fearless way of speaking his mind. He had a natural talent for making people laugh, often effortlessly, and was known for his quick wit and memorable personality.
Beyond his humor, he is also remembered for his love of animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, going on walks, and sharing experiences with them. His dog, Ducky, was a particularly important companion and source of comfort in his life.
His passing has left a deep sense of loss among those who knew him, with many saying his absence is profoundly felt. Though his life was short, the memories and impact he left behind continue to be cherished.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for June 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember him.
The family has requested that, instead of flowers, donations be made to the Prince George Humane Society in recognition of Cole’s love for animals.
He will be remembered with love, deeply missed by many, and cherished for the joy and laughter he brought into the lives of others.
